To pump or not to pump — that is the question facing the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The DNR will make a decision this month about whether to issue a permit that will allow the Crystal, Fish and Mud Lake District to continuously pump lake water into the Wisconsin River to correct public health problems associated with the rampant flooding around the lakes.
The deadline for submitting comments concerning the permit to the DNR was Jan. 29. [Full Story]
