HUTCHINSON AREA FEATURED ON FISHING THE MIDWEST TELEVISION

The Hutchinson area will be featured on the Fishing the Midwest television show this weekend, February 7th and 8th, in most major markets throughout the Midwest. The show was taped last July. Bob Jensen, host of Fishing the Midwest fished with Hutchinson area guide Troy Smutka.

Bob Jensen recently commented, "This was the first time I fished the Hutchinson area, but I hope not the last. Troy Smutka did a great job of putting us on fish. The fishing was outstanding, even at a time of year when fishing can be slow. We caught walleyes, largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass, and several of the largemouth were really nice ones. In addition to the great fishing, the Hutchinson area is just a fun place to visit. There are lots of interesting attractions around town, and the community in general just has a great feel. I understand why Hutchinson is referred to as "Minnesota's Hometown".

Jensen continued, "Hutchinson is about an hour west of the Twin Cities and is perfect for the Fishing the Midwest theme that you don't need to travel a long distance to find very good fishing anywhere in the Midwest. Whether you want to catch fish or just visit a very nice community, Hutchinson is a great destination".

Fishing the Midwest with Bob Jensen is an award-winning television series that features Midwest fishing hotspots and techniques. The episode featuring the Hutchinson will be seen on Midwest-based network affiliates and cable carriers and over satellite systems nationwide the weekend of February 7th and 8th.
